High School Scholarship Application Process

LAAFSC scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors (traditional or homeschooled) who plan to attend an accredited vocational school, technical school, college or university in the fall of the graduation year. An applicant must be the child of a service member (active duty or retired) or Department of Defense employee (current or retired) with ties to the Los Angeles Air Force Base area as described in the application packet.

Students receiving full scholarships, service academy appointments, or awards from other military spouses' clubs are not eligible.

Completed application packages — including application form, proof of dependent status, three written recommendations and a 300 to 500-word essay — must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2012. Application packages received after the deadline will not be considered. Completed packages should be mailed to:
